Squeezing in more fun before school starts

 The last week before school was full of fun in the sun, bike riding and open houses for the other 2 boys. 

We had to go over to my parents house to let Ethan cut their grass. While we were there we found another toad. The boys are always very excited to find frogs. I also find it fun finding these little frogs. They are cute when they are little. Like most things. haha 

Driving to church in Brandon's Tesla. haha We don't have enough seats for the boys to all fit in the car yet. So they were being snuggly while riding to church. 

Class lists!!

The boys were excited to find out who their teachers were for this school year. Emmett got Mrs. Hause and Wyatt got Mrs. Samples. He told me he was really happy he got her because he was wanting either her or the only male 4th grade teacher. So he was glad he got one of the teachers he wanted. 

Then Brandon had a golf tournament one afternoon. So the boys and I went to Chick Fil A for dinner. 

He totally missed out on that chaotic fun! haha 

Also took the boys to the driving range. Towards the end of summer break the boys start to get bored with basically anything they had fun with during the summer. I threw out lots of options of things we could do and they were not super excited about any of them. So they finally settled on going to the driving range. 

They smacked a few balls and putted a few and then we were off to go get some slushees since it was so hot outside. 

Emmett was first on the list to meat his teacher. He was so excited about it and yet super nervous. It is always a little hard to see him so nervous in these situations. My heart hurts for him. Im glad he warms up to people and situations quickly these days though. After getting all of his things set up in his classroom and talking to his teacher a little bit he seemed even more excited to start school. 

All ready to go!! They are getting too excited to start this school year. 

The creation that Wyatt and Ethan decided to make in the car. What weirdos!! haha 

We also went on a long bike ride. The first thing we did that morning was go to the mountain biking trail around the lake that we went to with the Ortiz's. Then after some lunch and chores we met up with my parents to ride bikes to old town and get some ice cream. 

The ride started out fine. Until my Mom got a flat tire and she didn't have a repair kit of a new tube. So they ended up not being able to join us for the rest of our ride. Papa had to go back to the car and pick up Gigi. Sad Day!! 

The other sad thing was that our destination for ice cream was destroyed when we saw this sign up in the window! PERMENENTLY CLOSED???? It said it was closed on google maps but I thought something was just wrong with the maps. Sadly, the maps was not wrong and our favorite ice cream place is closed forever!! Since we had ridden our bikes all the way there we had to get some ice cream somewhere. So we went to Walrus ice cream and forced some ice cream down to cool off. 

Then we road to Fort Fun to play in the arcade for a little bit. 

Then we were on our way back to the car. The kids handle these long bike ride so well. It is kind of crazy to think that they handle riding 15 miles or more so well. So it was not quite the ride we had planned. My parents were not able to join us with Gigi's popped tire and Kilwins was closed! So Sad!! However, it turned out to be fun and after we grabbed Jason's deli to finish off the day. Which was nice because we were able to enjoy better ice cream! haha Sad that Jason's deli soft serve is better than Walrus ice cream. haha Anyways, it was fun doing all these fun things with the kids before they were off to school.
