Estes Park

Another thing that we did that we have not done in a long time was going to Estes Park. We finally figured out how to make a reservation and planned to head up to Estes and go on the Alberta Falls hike that we have not done in years. So we drove there and grabbed some lunch at Subway. Then we made our way to the trail. There were signs all over saying that the parking lot at Bear Lake was full. We decided to go ahead and try it anyways. We were so glad that we did because we found a super close parking spot. So it worked out perfectly and we didn't have to wait for a shuttle bus with the boys.

We were lucky and got to see a deer really close up right as we started the hike.

Our goofball boys!!

Pretty waterfall!

Kaydens favorite part was picking up as many rocks as he possibly could. His favorite rock was this little baby one. The look on his face in this picture says it all. haha Kayden was so funny, Brandon would be holding his hand and Kayden would just drop to the floor to grab a certain rock that he really wanted. haha

These cute boys!!!
Ethan, Wyatt and Emmett did a great job walking the whole way and not really complaining. Kayden on the other hand made it like 5 minutes and then started to say he was tired and wanted to be carried. Little stinker.

Emmett is always trying to pick me flowers when we are outside. There were not many flowers to choose from. So he grabbed me a little branch of a tree instead. haha

This squirell was super close. Just sitting on the branch eating his lunch. Kayden wanted to catch him but we wouldn't let him try. haha

lastly, the boys got to throw rocks into Bear lake. No hiking adventure is complete for boys unless they get to throw rocks into some water haha

After our hiking adventures we left and went to go find some ice cream to end our trip.
It was a fun outing and very expensive outing. That ice cream was very pricey! All in all it was a fun day in Estes Park and we will be doing it again in the near future.
