Emmett turns 6

After everyone left from the Bell reunion Emmett had his 6th birthday! I still can't believe he is 6 years old already. He is getting so big! We started his birthday off like we always do, coloring his birthday crown and going and getting donuts!

We tried going to Mr. Yo's but they were closed. So we drove out to Lamar's instead. 

Tasty donuts with Papa and Gigi. The boys love having Papa and Gigi living so close. 

Then I took the kids to go bowling!

Emmett was super excited to go bowling on his birthday. We got their a little early not realizing that they didn't open until 11. So we waited in the car and then headed inside to bowl for an hour.

Kayden could care less to bowl. He wanted to play in the arcade. So Ethan and I took turns watching him in the arcade and bowling on our turns. 

They each took turns enjoying the arcade without even being able to actually play on anything. haha 

With the 5 of us it took us a while to play just 1 game. So I ordered some fried zucchini so the kids could have something to eat before Kayden was too tired. 

The kids did a good job for their first time in a really long time. They enjoyed it and Ethan wanted to play another game but it was already noon and Kayden needed a nap. So we headed home and put Kayden down.

After Kayden's nap we went swimming and then went to Panda Express for dinner. Emmett had originally wanted Texas Roadhouse which would have been a lot more expensive since it was not a Monday. I asked him why he wanted to go there and he said he wanted to be put on the horse thing. haha So the only reason he wanted to go to Roadhouse was so that he could sit on the saddle and be sang to. haha So when I mentioned that we could go anywhere even Panda Express. After I mentioned that he was all for Panda Express. 

 

He was super excited to eat Panda Express. 

Then we were off to Papa and Gigi's house to open presents and make s'mores.

 

Emmett got lots of fun presents for his birthday and he was so happy about all of them. Especially his roller blades.

Once presents were done with we headed outside to play a little bit and do roast marshmallows.

It was 102 degrees outside. So stinking hot and Emmett wanted to make s'mores. I told him he did not have to have cake on his birthday. I mentioned that he could have s'mores, cookies, brownies or even an ice cream sundae from Freddie's for his birthday dessert. Yet he decided that s'mores was what he wanted even though it was going to be super hot that day. 

It was so hot that the chocolate was melting on the plate before we could even get marshmallows on them. haha 

Roasting marshmallows when it is 102 outside was not enjoyable! haha I think next time we will convince Emmett that ice cream is a much better option. 

Emmett really is such a sweet boy! When he wants to be sweet he can e super sweet and kind. Every once in a while he still wants to play cheetahs which i don't encourage because he is getting so much older and it was only cute when he was little. haha As he has gotten older he has wanted to be included in playing with his older brothers whether that is on bikes or cars or other things that they want to play. He is also a great big brother to Kayden. He loves to try and help Kayden out play with him. He is really cute with Kayden and it is fun to watch them together. He still throws tantrums when he does not get his way. He is very stubborn and still wants what he wants no matter what anyone else says. Some days are better than others with his attitude. Yet even with his attitude he can be so sweet. He will tell me how much he loves me and how I am the best mom. He will also tell me how pretty I look at times. He is also a great hugger!! As soon as he gets his temper under control like Ethan had to, he will play so much better with his brothers and I won't get frustrated with him as much!! It was a great Birthday for Emmett and I sure hope he felt loved because we sure do love him so much!!
