More fun in June

June was a fun but busy month. After the Bell reunion we had Emmett's birthday and then about few days later Brandon's parents arrived. They were coming out for 2 reasons. The main reason was to come watch our kiddos while we went with Ty and Vandy to Ohio to go to Cedar Point. The other was for Mike to golf with Brandon in a tournament here. Before all of that fun happened the boys wanted to earn some of their things I bought for them. So for a couple of days they were working super hard doing extra chores to earn tickets so that they could get the things they really wanted.

I have been loving this whole ticket system. The kids like it because they get to earn tickets to get their prize as soon as they have enough tickets and I love it because other things get cleaned around the house that I then don't have to clean. So it was a win win this summer.
Emmett also was able to practice riding his roller blades outside. Which he was bother excited and nervous about.

He did pretty good for his first time on the sidewalk. He was pretty nervous though and made sure that I was holding his hand a lot of the time.

Then Mike and Lee arrived. I was at an orthodontist appointment when they arrived so we gave them the code to get in our garage. Sadly, by the time I got home they were sitting outside because the code was not working and the back door was locked. When I got home I tried opening the garage door but my garage door opener was not working either. Come to find out the power was out. Thankfully we were able to get through the kitchen window and get inside. Once Brandon got home we headed off to Mod Pizza since we couldn't cook anything and didn't want to heat up the house by using the stove. So we left to enjoy the AC somewhere else. After eating dinner we headed to Scheel's since the power was still not on to hopefully burn some more time before the it came back on.

Sadly, the power did not come back on and was not going to come back on until the next day sometime. So we made the kids sleep in the basement so that it would be cooler for them and after fighting with Kayden to go to sleep in the basement Brandon and I stayed up chatting with his parents in the dark with some candles burning to give us some light. It was a gloomy night chatting with them about the stresses we were feeling from the new building Brandon was getting into. We basically were given a month to get funding (which should have happened 8 months prior) or we were going to be going bankrupt. So it was a bummer of a night sitting in the dark talking dooms day. By the time Brandon and I went to bed we were both feeling pretty low and had to say some heart felt prayers. After doing that we both felt reassurance that everything was going to be ok.
The next day started Brandon's golf tournament so Lee and I had fun with the kids going swimming and we headed to Chick Fil A for dinner since the guys were going to eat dinner at the tournament.

It was a tasty end to our day.

The next day we took the kiddos out for a walk. Emmett rode his roller blades and ended up riding for a mile while we walked. He did a good job and only needed help a couple of times. Mainly on the bumps going across the street.

Birthday Party Time!!!

We decided this was the year we needed to throw birthday parties for each of the boys. Emmett had never had a birthday party so that was a first for him. However, he was not super excited at first. He told me the night before that he did not want a lot of friends to come over. When I told him it was only 2 he was relieved. haha He is for sure the most shy out of all our boys. Even though he was a little nervous he was still pretty excited. That and by the time they showed up he had a lot of fun having them over to play. It was pretty low key. We played with the slip n slide and water balloons. I made shaved ice for the kiddos and at the end Emmett opened presents and we had cupcakes. So all in all it was a fun time with friends.

They had a lot of fun and I was glad it was only and hour and a half long! haha

Why not drink water from the slip n slide holes. haha

Emmett got this shirt from Grandma Huntsman and a bunch of candy and was super excited about both.

Then Saturday we took of to Colorado Springs to spend the day with Ty and their family. Since Mike and Lee were in town we figured it would be fun for them to be able to see 2 of their boys. Plus Sunday was Father's Day so it was a good thing to let Mike see 2 of his kiddos of Father's Day.

It was a quick trip. We got their Saturday afternoon, ate IN N OUT and hung out until Sunday afternoon. Then we headed home so that we could do dinner with my parents so I could spend some Father's Day with my Dad. So it made for a busy weekend but it was fun.

I also took Kayden in to get his new lenses. Since his lenses had a crack in them. He seemed super nervous when we were there. So it was a good thing that it was a quick appointment.
Oh ya...we also finally got blossoms on our passionfruit vine!! So we will hopefully be getting some fruit.

Then some more swimming!

We went to the wildwing pool each time that we went. It is just less chaotic and the kids have a blast. Plus we invited my parents to come play too. So that was a fun afternoon as well.
Wyatt didn't want me to cut the top of his hair when I cut it because he wanted to be able to have a massive mohawk. I told him it was only happening once and then it was getting cut slightly shorter. They are silly boys!!
