On one of our days in good of Cali we decided it would be fun to head to the beach. Since Tif and Q live in San Diego we figured we could go visit them and go to the beach with them. It turned out to be a beautiful day at the beach and we were kind of wishing we had brought bathing suits to change into. We also decided to take a family picture while we went to the beach. We we got ready and packed up everything and headed to San Diego. By the time we got there it was lunch time so we went to IN N OUT all together and then headed to enjoy the sandy beach.
As soon as we got to the beach I had to tell Ethan and Wyatt how dangerous the water was. I told them that they could not go down by the water without telling me and daddy and having us watching them. They are not used to the ocean and I did not need and kids lost at sea. So after telling them to make sure that one of us was with them they told Daddy that they wanted to go to the water and then headed out. Next thing I know I see this....
Wyatt had fallen in the water. Brandon said that they were standing with their feet in the water and everything was fine until the water starting pulling back. Then Wyatt started to loose balance and down he went into the water. Brandon tried to catch him and almost had him but missed and Wyatt took three tumbles in the water before Brandon could grab him. Wyatt was not crying or anything. He was laughing and saying that it was really cold. Im just glad that Brandon was there to grab him. So now Wyatt was soaked and we had not taken our family pictures yet. So we decided to take Wyatts shirt off and take pictures like that.
The picture turned out way cute even with Wyatt being the only one without a shirt on! haha I actually like it. It reminds us of what happened and how funny it was. Plus my kids are so cute anyways it is hard to not have a cute picture! :-)
I sure do love this husband of mine!! He is my best friend and just the best eternal companion I could have ever asked for!!
After taking pictures the rest of the day was full of fun playing in the sand!
I didnt get to enjoy much of the beach since Emmett is too small and just tries to eat all of the sand and he was tired and wouldn't fall asleep. By the time he had fallen asleep it was time to pack up and go. I was kind of bummed but so is the life of a mother sometimes!
Finally asleep! This kid can fight sleep for so long!
After getting back to Tif and Q's house we got Ethan and Wyatt bathed up while Emmett and Ryan took naps. Then after everyone was cleaned up and awake we headed to the park for some more fun and some pizza. It was a fun day spending time with family and seeing Tif and Q and little Ryan.
We were all tired by the time we headed home. It was a long day but, I think the kids enjoyed it! :-)
