Christmas 2020

Christmas morning started early with the boys too excited to sleep and they were loudly whispering and running down the halls by 6 in the morning. Brandon and I just laid there wishing we could sleep longer. We didn't get to bed all that early and Emmett was up every couple of hours because he was too excited to sleep. So we were super tired that morning. However, it was Christmas and we couldn't help but be excited because of how excited the boys were.

Kayden was so sleepy when he finally woke up so it took him a while to get excited. After waking up a little bit more he had a lot of fun opening up his presents.

This was our view that morning. With our baby Jesus right in front of all of the presents.

These boys were super excited about their stockings and all of their presents.

Breakfast time!!

Kayden was more interested in eating his milk with a spoon than his cereal. haha

After we got through our stockings and had breakfast Papa and Gigi came over. Then it was time for opening the rest of the presents.

Both Brandon and I got each other dirt this year. We had joked about getting each other dirt because of the lot that we bought. Which is funny because we both followed through with it. Brandon got me an ornament with dirt from our lot in it and I filled this jar with dirt from our lot. haha It was pretty great!!

Kayden got this vacuum from Papa and Gigi and absolutely loves it!! We suggested it to them because of how much Kayden loves to play with our real vacuums. So naturally he was super excited when he opened the vacuum and we put batteries in it.

Thanks to David all of my siblings sent David some pictures to put in a book for my parents of their California house. They had lived in that California house for 25+ years. So it was a bitter sweet move for them. So when they opened this book my Mom started to cry and my Dad even got teary eyed. He is a lot better at holding his tears in. So it was an emotional present for sure. I was just glad that we were able to give it to them on Christmas and record their reactions to send out to my brothers and sisters.

Emmett got a typewriter. At first he didn't realize what it was or why he got it. However once we got it up and running he was super excited that he finally had "a computer to just type on" as he would say.

Once he realized what it was he didn't want to stop playing with it.

Then Kayden helped Gigi make apple crisp.

He was more interested in trying to get the knives and eating the apples. haha

Our Christmas dinner that consisted of steak and shrimp and all of the other fixings. It was delicious!!

Poor little lamb all tired out from the days adventures.

That evening the kids kept eating more of their candy from the day and Ethan and Gigi worked on Ethan's safe and tried to figure that out while we watched a movie to end the eventful Christmas Day. It was a great day full of fun with the kiddos and my parents. It was fun to see Kayden get excited to open up his presents and the boys were so excited to give each other their gifts that they worked so hard to earn. It is fun to get presents but even more fun to give. The boys are getting so much older now that Christmas is already starting to seem so different. The older boys got done with certain gifts and then were off to go play on the Nintendo switch or other things. It was so different than in years past when they would relish in the little toys and goodies that they got in their stockings and just hangout with us upstairs. Which just makes me think of how different it will be as they continue to get older. So for now I will try and cherish these moments with them wile they are so little!!
Merry Christmas!!!
