Its a BOY!!!! :-)

Here is our little boy!! We went in on March 1st for my ultrasound! Now here is how things went. The day before I had heard that one of my friends had to drink a liter of water an hour before her ultrasound. I thought that that was a lot of water to hold for an hour especially when my little baby likes to kick my bladder pretty much all the time haha. Although I had not been told anything about how much water to drink before the ultrasound or anything for that matter. I decided that I would drink a liter before the ultrasound just to make sure that everything would work out and we would be able to find out what we were having. So I drank a full liter within like about 20 minutes. I was soo full of water it hurt my stomach haha. I thought that hopefully having a half hour with all that water sitting in my system would work its way into my bladder in time for the ultrasound. And boy did it EVER!! We got to the doctors and I started really having to go to the bathroom. Walking up the stairs was not fun at all haha. So we got to the doctors and we were waiting to check in. There was one girl in front of us and she was taking forever to sign papers and what not so we just waited. We were already just barely on time so I thought, "this lady better hurry so that we can get in because we are late now". So as we were waiting there is a guy that comes out and calls to take back another girl and yes, it was the ultrasound tech. So now he was taking someone else in and not us. So we finally checked in and then sat there for a half hour! I was supposed to be in at 1:30 but that was not going to happen. So we just sat there with my bladder filling up so full that I was hurting. Literally hurting. I had to control my breathing and the way my stomach was contracting because my bladder was so full. Oh and I decided to eat a handful of skittles before we went in to so that the baby would be moving around. He seems to like skittles haha!! So we are sitting there and of coarse our baby starts kicking my bladder. I told Brandon, " I do not think I can hold this much longer. I think my bladder is going to explode!" Then Brandon tells me that maybe I should go to the bathroom just a little bit to relieve some. However, I think once I start there is no stopping me hahah! So I just sit in pain and we joke about how I might pee on the ultrasound tech when he pushes on my stomach haha! Then a few minutes after 2 we get called back! Note I can barely breath because of how full my bladder is. Then we get in the room and the guy asked if we were wanting to know what we were having. We were like, "YES!!" haha So he puts the goop on my stomach which they had warmed up which was nice, kind of weird, but nice haha. Then we see our baby! It was so fun seeing our little baby. He went through all parts of the babies body making sure that everything looked good and that everything was working correctly and walked us through the process. Our baby was moving around a lot and it was SO fun to actually SEE him moving around. Then the tech went down to the legs. At that point I got a little nervous thinking how Brandon would react or what he would think if our baby was a girl. Then I see it, and Brandon saw it too before the tech even mentioned that our baby was in fact..

A BOY!! We were both SO excited!! We had both thought that we were having a boy. Brandon more than me, but I thought that I was just being biased so I did not think that my thoughts really counted. But, we were right! :-) It was such a fun experience. It was cool to see his little heart pumping and his little arms and legs moving as well.

In one of the parts we see what looks like our little guy waving to us! :-)

That is his hand near his face and it was moving back and forth in a little waving motion. It was funny to see that because his face was towards us as well. So that was cool! We also watched as his little body was moving around a little bit. It was just so fun to see him moving and not just feel it! When we were done the tech asked us if my doctor had given me a due date. We told him it was July 28th. So he told us that according to the ultrasound I was 19 weeks and 4 days along. Which meant that my due date would be July 22nd. Also that our baby weighed 11 ounces. I thought this was funny because I had just talked to my mom the night before and was saying how cool that would be if they say that I am like a week farther along. I was thinking how cool that would be if they moved it up to like the 22nd or something. So when we heard this I just thought, "Hey I was right." haha I had also been thinking that our baby seemed to be stronger than he was supposed to be for how far along I was. Since I had felt him move so early on the inside as well as on the outside. Then the tech went on and said that our doctor might not change it to the 22nd because the due date is normally give or take 14 days. So I guess we will see if my doctor does move it up to the 22nd when I go in in a week. Anyways after we left the doctors we headed off to California to visit my family and tell them in person that we were having a BOY! :-)

Oh and here is me at about 19.5 weeks, going with my original due date of July 28th.

Oh Baby

So here is the latest and greatest on my pregnancy! Well lets see I started feeling my baby move at about 14 weeks! I thought that the twitches that I felt were a little different than what I am used to when my muscles twitch so I thought, "That could be our baby". I would tell Brandon that maybe I was feeling our baby. I did not feel it very often I would feel it maybe a couple times a week, maybe less. Then when I was about 15 and a half weeks I had a lot more twitches and more often so I texted my friend to ask what it felt like when she felt her babies move for the first time. She said that it felt like muscle twitches. So I knew that I had been feeling my baby move!! :-) That made me really happy to know that I was right that it was my baby moving that I was feeling. So when Brandon came home from school I told him that I really was feeling our baby move. Now as time has past by I have felt this little baby move more often and this baby is a LOT stronger now. In fact just the other day on February 16 the baby must have been kicking me pretty hard because I after it happened once I thought holy cow that was a big one...! So I decided to put my hand on my stomach and see if I could feel it. So then the baby kicked or punched again and I felt it with my hand. I had felt my baby from the outside for the first time. It was not just a twitch was the inside I had actually felt it with my hand. Our baby is getting really strong really fast!! So I texted Brandon and told him that the next time our baby was moving he would have to try and feel it because I had! It is pretty awesome to feel my baby move. Especially when the baby hits me hard enough to let me feel it with my hand. I really like it! So anyways... that night when we were going to bed Brandon tried to feel our baby move. The problem is that it is a lot harder to tell which kicks or punches are hard enough to feel from the outside. So I would say "Oh... did you feel that one?? or that one??" Since Brandon could not feel them he got all discouraged and was like "Our baby hates me!" So I decided to see if I could feel it and.. nope they were too small! So I told him that he will have to try again some other time! Something else I think is funny is that I swear my baby get on sugar highs.... hahaha! I won't feel anything for a long time and then I will feel a little bit and then all of a sudden BAM.... the baby goes nuts!!! It is the funniest thing. I will be just sitting down on the couch and then all of a sudden my baby is having a blast inside of me. It makes me laugh whenever it happens! Then last night Brandon and I were watching "Couples Retreat" which was funny but inappropriate at times. Anyways so I think it was right after the movie the baby started going crazy....! So I put my hand on my stomach to see if I could feel it and I felt too distinct hits where my hand was and so Brandon wanted to try!! Now this is what was hillarious.. So as soon as Brandon put his hand on my stomach the baby stopped moving.!! I think he put the baby to sleep because his hands are so warm hahah! It was so weird because the baby had been moving like crazy just seconds before Brandon tried to feel the baby move and then in an instant the baby stopped moving as hard and then nothing... haha! Anyways so Brandon must have the magic touch for putting our baby to sleep already. So I think that will be his job when the baby is really here! haha

Also yesterday I went to the doctors and everything looked good! The babies heart beat was strong and that makes me happy! It was really cool to hear the heart beat again. This time though the heart beat sounded a lot louder which was cool. The last time I heard it it was kind of hard to hear on the doppler. This time it was so loud there was no mistaking it, and Brandon got to hear it too besides just from the camera haha! I also had to do an early glucose test so when Brandon and I got to the doctors office I had to drink the infamous drink! I had heard that it tasted like flat orange soda so I was not too afraid. However, it was a fruit punch flavor so I asked the lady what it tasted like and she said that it kind of tasted like gaterade and that I had to drink it within 5 minutes and then let her know when I was done so that she could clock in what time I would come back to get my blood drawn. I decided to smell the drink first and it smelled just like gaterade! So I figured I would just chug it and get it over with. It seriously tasted like fruit punch with way too much sugar haha! It burned the back of my throat it was actually quite funny! I would cough after every drink. But, it really was not all that bad! So At least I know what to expect when I have to do it later. Now all I have to wait for is the results! Hopefully everything looks normal so I don't have to worry about anything! I should be fine because the same thing happened with my mom with all of her pregnancies and she never had gestational diabetes so I guess we shall just see! Anyways that pretty much updates everything! Oh and I have taken some pictures but I swear my tummy looks bigger in person than it does on camera. So I will put some pictures up soon but there is not much to show haha! Anyways I will keep you posted! :-)

Just so good!

So I feel like it is a lot easier to write things on here then in my journal. Maybe just because I like to type and I can type and lot faster than I can write. Anyway so this is what I have to say. Ever since I got pregnant I thought "Now I really need to eat healthy." Some days I feel as though I do pretty good with not eating much junk and eating good things. However, some days junk food just sounds sooo good and I just want to eat junk food and I do not care about eating my vegetables and my fruits. Then after I eat junk food I feel bad because I feel like I should be eating more good stuff but I enjoy the junk soo much more haha! Then when I eat the junk I think man I really need to start working out again! I really do not have much to show in this pregnancy yet with regards to my belly. I show a little bit but I have a good 1/2 inch at least on top that is just fatty puj and I feel like I should start doing some workouts at home. Some sit-ups and push-ups and things like that. I start thinking that I am going to workout and then I never do. Instead I end up just sitting on the couch all day eating!! man oh man... what shall I ever do! haha I know that it is important to workout especially while I am pregnant but it is pretty hard to get motivated! It is so easy to just sit on the couch all day and eat junk food! I do feel like I am doing better than I used to but still I have days were I eat more junk than I feel I should. Then I pay for it later when I look at myself and think "ugh.. I feel fat!" which then Brandon gets mad at me because I am pregnant and it is good that I am getting bigger. So you would think that this would motivate me to start trying to get in better shape but I don't. I can't get myself to go to the workout class in the morning at the church building because I would rather sleep and then I can't get myself to do things at home. I feel like I am such a lazy butt haha! So hope you guys are not getting annoyed with hearing about these things but it is fun to write about!! :-) Well I better get dinner made before Brandon gets home! I will probably post a picture of myself soon so until then this is what you get! :-)

My dilemma!!

Well this pregnancy has been pretty easy for me! I don't work and I don't go to school which most of you know! So I sleep in as long... as I want, take naps whenever I want, and just can be all around lazy!! Although that sounds like a good thing I feel like anytime I do anything that causes my muscles to work at all I am sore the next day! I think that is a bad sign haha! So there is one thing that I need to improve in this pregnancy! Also I had one really weird thing happen to me the other day. Brandon and I were coming home from the grocery store and we were going to make dinner when we got home.. thank goodness because I was really.. hungry! Anyways, so as we rounded the corner my eyes got really tired (I am talking stinging and everything) but, that was not the weird part. The weird part was that right after my eyes felt tired I got SUPER dizzy!! It was as if I was on a REALLY rocky boat! I could not even get out of the car and stand on my own with out Brandon helping me stay on my feet! I literally got out of the car and started falling over..! He had to put his arm around me and take me in the house! It was THE weirdest feeling ever. So I had to lay on the couch and Brandon got dinner ready and brought over some water for me because I thought maybe I just needed more water in my system. Then I ate some carrots and ranch since dinner was taking a little bit. I started feeling a bit better after a little bit of laying down and closing my eyes! So I don't know if I just really needed food in my system or what but that was definitely not very fun! Thankfully it only lasted like a half hour and it has not happened in the last 2 days! So I have had 2 weird things happen in this pregnancy haha! Also something weird is that my stomach really likes to twitch.. sometimes my muscles twitch where my uterus would be. I know that it is not the baby because when it did that the baby was too small to feel but it was weird. One morning I woke up and my muscles were all spazing out haha it was pretty funny! So I just hope that I can determine the difference between my muscle spazims and the baby actually moving when that point comes haha! So anyways here is the dilemma that I have ran into. It deals with eating and food!! I am not the type of person who really can ever decide things, ESPECIALLY when it comes to eating! It has become even harder now that I have to eat ALL THE TIME!! haha I never know what I want to eat and so I just think I will wait (if it is close enough) till lunch or dinner time. That never goes over very well. I end up thinking I am going to wait and then I start feeling weaker and I know that the idea of waiting is not an option so I have to figure out what to eat right then. Which is a very hard thing for me to do. Normally if we have chips around that is what I resort to (a quick fix). However, if we have fruit around then I try to go for that, but, fruit never fills me up at all. So I eat the fruit and then go for something else. The hard part that I find is that I seem to be hungry at the worst possible times (at least for me). For example, tonight I had a yummy dinner and then an hour later I ate some popcorn with my friend as we watched "The Bachelor", then I had a brownie after that and drank a good amount of water. As soon as I got home I felt famished!! I thought great it is 10:00 at night and I have no.. idea what to eat. I did not want to eat a lot more but when I feel soo hungry it is hard not to. So I ate some strawberries which did nothing at all for me and then ate a couple of chicken wings that I cooked for Brandon and I. After that I was still hungry.. so I had some peanut butter on a piece of bread! I was pretty good after that but honestly after like 20 minutes I could eat more!! I want to be good and not gain too much weight during this pregnancy but I do not want to starve my little one. It is so hard for me. Literally! I think the hardest part is that when I am super super hungry I never know what I want to eat. To me this is a dilemma! I feel like I should have an easy time just snacking and eating stuff but I am soo indecisive that I can never make up my mind until I really NEED food in my system! Then when I hit that point I feel bad that I waited until then to eat! So this is my main dilemma right now! Eating!!! Pretty funny that I would have a problem figuring out what I want to eat! I thought it would be easier! I would just feel a little hungry and just go grab what I want! No such luck haha! I just hope that I can get better at just snacking all the time so that I don't starve this little baby! Especially since I am starting into my second trimester and I know that babies need a more constant nourishment than before! So wish me luck!! :-)

Heartbeats!!

So this morning I had the awesome experience of hearing our babies heartbeat for the first time! It was so amazing...! I was so nervous to go to the doctors and not be able to hear the heartbeat!! Thankfully my worries were just worries! The sound of the babies heart beating was so amazing to hear! I don't think I knew how I would feel when I heard it. I knew that I would be happy and that it would be so nice to hear but, when I heard that thub dub of my babies heart I was pretty much in aw! The babies heart rate was at 150 and the doctor said that the baby was moving around alot! I was so happy to hear this. It really is a miracle. I do not understand how someone can go through something like this and not believe that there is a God! I am seriously soo.. blessed. Anyways, I just wanted to share this and say that I am sooo excited and happy that our baby is doing well soo far! I am also excited that I only have one more week in my first trimester! I can't wait to feel this baby moving around, that will make this all seem even more real! :-)

Wierd!!

So today was the first time in this pregnancy that I threw up!! Yes thats right! It was the weirdest thing ever! I started out the morning perfectly fine. Nothing was wrong at all I had a good sized bowl of cereal and then about and hour later took my vitamins. Everything was going great, I just relaxing and checking facebook and of coarse my blog. By the time it was 11:30 I decided that it was about lunch time but I did not want lunch yet I really wanted fruit snacks! So I grabbed some fruit snacks and sat on the couch watching some T.V. Then just as I had swallowed my last fruit snack I had an immediate "I am going to throw up" feeling. I ran into the bathroom and up-chucked pretty much everything I ate and drank that morning!! And just as fast as that feeling came it went! I had just thrown up and then was perfectly fine. A little weak so I drank a lot of water and waited a bit before I ate anything, just in case my stomach was still not happy with me! However, I was completely fine and ate a lot for lunch and that was it. It was THE weirdest thing ever!! So now my lovely story about how I never got sick during pregnancy has to end. At least it was only today and at least I did not feel sick at all before or after!! What a weird thing! haha anyways so that is what happened today just thought I would let you all know! haha :-)

Christmas Break and the Begining of the New Year!!

Well to start out our Christmas break we drove for 14 and a half hours to get to good ol' Idaho Falls. We left at about 9 in the morning and got into Idaho at around 11:30. VERY.... long day. Thankfully my prayers were answered and we did not have to stop every 2 hours for me to go to the bathroom. I even drank a good amount of stuff but I only went to the restroom when we stopped for gas. Well I guess that is not entirely true. We would stop before we needed to fill up so that I could take a pit stop and so we would top off the gas and grab something to eat if it was close to lunch or dinner time. So at least the trip was not really prolonged because of my shrinking blatter. We also listened to the "Hunger Games" which is an awesome book. That made our trip go by a lot faster. So anyways, we finally got to our destination. Since it was so late there was time for a little chat and then off to bed. We had fun in Idaho with Brandon's family playing the wii and playstation and card games and just hanging out. Oh, and of coarse playing with the Coya's little 5 month old girl. We also went as a family to dinner and a movie one of the nights. We saw "Blind Side" it was a very good movie. Totally a feel good movie and we really enjoyed it. It was a lot of fun. Christmas was different than what I am used to but then again it was my first Christmas away from home. So it was bound to be different. None the less it was good. Then after spending time in Idaho with Brandon's family it was time to head down to California to see my family for a couple of days. Now normally the trip from Idaho to California takes us about 11 and a half hours to 12 hours. However, we never make the trip in the snow. Of coarse the snow had to wait until we were leaving to make its way into Idaho. So we hit snowy slick roads pretty much all the way through Utah which added on a couple of hours. Then we hit traffic going from Vegas to California. So our usual 12 hour trip became a 15 hour trip. It was a very.... long day. Both Brandon and I were soo.. sick of being in the car that the thought of having to drive another 4 and a half back home in a couple of days was not very thrilling to think about. Being in California with my family was nice though. We slept in and relaxed and had Christmas with them as well. One night we had a fire outside and talked about memories and things like that. It was a lot of fun just talking with the fam. My little sister Ashley was leaving for Utah that weekend so my mom and dad made sure to get her so she could spend time with all of us before she headed away from home for the first time. On New Years eve we did not do what we normally do each year but it was still fun. We played games and watched a movie and then at midnight we all ran outside banging our pots and pans and screaming HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! It was Brandon's first time doing this and he laughed the entire time we were running around outside. It was really funny. Then on Saturday we all went and saw the movie "Invictus" It was a really good feel good movie too. After we headed to costco since my mom had to get somethings there and we go pizza for lunch and I was STARVING.... it is not good when I get to that point because I get very grumpy and very week. So that was not fun but once I had food in me I felt much better. That was pretty much the end of our time with my family. It is always sad to leave but its also good to get home. Now that Brandon has started school again and I am back to the normal being alone and lazy days it is hard for me to get into the mood to clean. I have sooo much cleaning to do and yet I really do not want to do it. I feel so lazy, all I want to do is sit around and eat and bundle up in a blanket and watch T.V. or read a book. Hopefully this laziness will end with my second trimester. As for right now I probably just better suck it up and start cleaning and then I can nap and be lazy latter. Well here is to trying hahaha! Well that is about it for now. I will put some pictures up of mine and Brandon's Christmas with each other soon. :-)
