Part 3: Hiking

After the Aquarium on Monday of my parents visit Brandon had to work that Tuesday and Wednesday. So we just hung around the house and played games and got stuff done. Then Thursday the party began again and we went for a hike in Estes Park. It was really pretty in the mountains that day and really a perfect day to go hiking! Everyone else must have thought so too because we couldn't find a parking spot and Brandon had to drop us off and go to a parking lot where we had to take the shuttle to. So while he went to go park we sat and ate lunch and waited for him to get there. It took him a good half hour or more just to get back! So we were all ready to go get out hike on by the time he got back!

While waiting to Brandon we ate lunch and a squirrel kept coming up to us wanting some food. Wyatt was so scared of that little guy, as you can see by how he is griping my dad in this picture! haha

Let the hike begin!

My dad tried to catch the fish that were in this little pond. It didn't work! haha They were hiding under this big rock so deep that they couldn't reach any of them! We even tried getting them out with a stick! So either they left and we did not know it or they were in some crevice that we could not find! haha

Brandon had to give it a try too!

Just taking some weird pictures on our shuttle back to the car! haha I am so glad we are all such goof balls! :-)

The only pic I got of the boys and my mom on the way back to the car! Too bad it is blurry!

It was a fun day of being out doors in the mountains! Thank goodness for the little monkey backpack leash that my mom picked up for us. I was really nervous about Wyatt on that hike! He likes to just go wherever he wants and does not know his boundaries yet! So it was nice to have! Plus it saved him from a few knee scratching falls! The boys got tired at some points but it was still a fun hike! Plus we had to get out and show my parents the best parts of living in Colorado so we can make them want to move here some day! ;-)
