Visitors and stone

Our 2018 started off really great with a visit from David and Hayley. They arrived for dinner on the 1st of January and the kids had fun showing off to them and jumping all over them. haha After the kids went to bed we stayed up a while and chatted. It was good to catch up with them on how life is going for them. Then it was off to bed for all of us and we

The next day we relaxed for a little while and David and Hayley went into Brandon's office to get some impressions made for his invisalign. Then we headed to get some lunch at Hacienda Real. After some lunch we went to go look at some stone for our fireplace and took some pictures of David's teeth for the invisalign.

Then we played some games while Emmett napped and then let the kids jump around with David and Hayley again before they took off back to Denver.
It was sad to see them go but it was so fun to have them stay the night.

That night after they left we got to work on the demolition of our fireplace.
Ethan and Wyatt got to help taking off the tile. They were so excited to help. Then Wyatt headed over to a friends house for a late hangout and we ordered some pizza for the rest of us to eat while we finished demolishing the tile.

The boys did a good job helping out and my job was to make sure Emmett didn't step anywhere near all the tile pieces and nails that were now on the tarp. Brandon even cut himself on the tile. He was wearing gloves and taking the tile off when all of a sudden there was blood spots on some of the tiles on the fireplace. He then realized that the tile had sliced right threw the glove and his finger.

After lots of work Brandon finally got the bottom part of the fireplace all prepped. The rest of the preparation work had to wait until the morning.

The next morning Brandon set to work on getting the rest of the fireplace all prepared.

He was able to get it all completely ready for stoning before we had to get ready to go down to Denver to take our boys to their first Denver Nuggets game.
